Someone mentioned the Isles might replace those black 3rd jerseys  with te outdoor ones they wore today. Don't like the outdoor ones either but they're definitely better. Baby steps? The regulars are such beauties |

I don't blame Hamonic for going after Carter like that yesterday.
It's 5-1, the final 5 minutes of the game. Even though it was a clean check it's kind of a dooosh move to try and annihilate somebody at that stage of a game. |

Really enjoyed Thursday's Toronto game but yesterday they faced a well coached veteran NJD team with perhaps the greatest NHL goalie. They looked like boys playing against a men's team.
Loved Howie's "This Day In Isles History" recall of Ken Morrow's debut on Saturday March 1st 1980. I remember that game, I think it was an afternoon Network (NBC, CBS, ABC?) Game Of The Week.
The final March 29 Saturday game this year is also against NJD. Will Howie recall the final Saturday March 31 1990 game when we beat Philly at home and PITT had to lose so we could make the playoffs. Yes we beat Philly that night and Uwe Krupp's OT goal for Buffalo beat PITT that night. We finished one pt ahead of them and made it in and got eliminated by the Rangers. Oh yes, we drafted 6th that year and took Scott Scissons after PITT picked 5th and took Jagr. |
